���㽶��Ƶ volunteer leaders came from near and far earlier this month, convening in Washington, DC, for two days of listening, learning, and sharing — all aimed at becoming more effective leaders.

The centerpiece of the meeting was a full-day workshop tied to the book��The Leadership Challenge, which is based on a three-part model of leading self, leading others, and leading organizations. Two certified facilitators led participants through focused and engaging exercises designed to help them tap into and fine-tune their particular leadership qualities. A group exercise helped solicit the input of the broad leadership of ���㽶��Ƶ into progress on ���㽶��Ƶ’s strategic goals, including innovation in PA education and outcomes-based accreditation. Attendees also heard an update on accreditation from a higher education specialist on policy and regulation.

ARC-PA Executive Director Sharon Luke, along with five other ARC-PA commissioners and staff were among the invited participants, offering valuable contributions to the conversation. Accreditation features in two of ���㽶��Ƶ’s , and we are working closely with our colleagues from the ARC as we build toward these goals.

The event was capped off by a reunion performance of legendary rock duo K Standard and the Outcomes, featuring Board Member Kevin Schuer and Leadership MAC Chair Kevin Lohenry.
