The Veteran Educators and Allies in PA Education (VEAP) Special Interest Group (SIG) is dedicated to supporting and advocating for Veteran and military-affiliated students within PA education programs. This group will serve as a hub for connection, advocacy, and developing inclusive policies to ensure PA education is accessible and welcoming for all who have served in uniform.- This SIG, also known as the Western Consortium, welcomes PA educators to discuss unique opportunities and challenges for PA programs based in the Western region of the United States.
Want to start a new SIG?
To be recognized as a special interest group, the organizing individuals must provide the following information, in writing, to the Board of Directors for consideration:
- A statement of purpose that includes how the special interest group鈥檚 focus is consistent with the Association鈥檚 mission and values
- An identified facilitator who serves as a liaison between the group and the BOD
- A petition that contains at a minimum eight signatures of Program Representatives, from at least three different Member Programs
