Applicant Responsibilities
Applicants to the PA profession are expected and required to take full responsibility for their application throughout the admissions process. Please review these responsibilities outlined below. Furthermore, all CASPA applicants are expected and required to abide by the CASPA Applicant Agreement. Failure to abide by this may result in a violation of the CASPA Applicant Agreement.
CASPA applicants will:
- Be responsible for researching each designated PA program’s application procedures, admission requirements, and deadline requirements.
- Complete and submit their CASPA application, payments, and all supporting documentation.
- Request transcripts to be sent to CASPA electronically through the approved vendor or by mail. If sending by mail, include the Transcript Request Form, available in the CASPA portal after listing colleges attended.
- Please check with your institution regarding available transcript delivery methods, as options may vary between electronic delivery and PDF formats.
- Provide honest, accurate, and complete application information.
- Update CASPA with any changes in contact information (mailing address, email, phone number) throughout the admissions cycle. Applicants should provide the same updates directly to the programs to which they have applied.
- Monitor their application’s status and the submission and receipt of all application materials to CASPA, including all transcripts and letters of recommendation. The status of the application and supporting documents can be monitored at any time within CASPA.
- Follow up on any incomplete or undelivered application statuses and/or missing materials, such as transcripts, letters of recommendation, or payments. If letters of recommendation are missing, the applicant should contact the individual reference to make sure the request was received and encourage timely submission.
- Please note that CASPA is not responsible for documents which are lost in the mail. These items must be re-submitted to CASPA in a timely manner.
- Respond in a timely manner to ALL notices and questions received from CASPA staff and PA programs.聽聽
- Communicate and initiate all contact in a professional manner when interacting with CASPA staff and admissions staff.聽
- CASPA will not communicate with parents, spouses, friends, or other individuals in regard to an application.聽
- Accept or decline all interview invitations and offers of acceptance in a timely and considerate manner.聽
- Log off the CASPA web application after the completion of each entry or review session to protect against unauthorized access of application information.聽
CASPA Responsibilities
CASPA, managed by 大香蕉视频 and Liaison International, will facilitate a professional and equitable application process. Its protocols have been established to help ensure applicants have a fair and complete review process of all application materials and support each program’s autonomy in evaluating, selecting, and matriculating qualified students.
CASPA will:
- Provide fair and equitable treatment throughout the application process.
- Be responsible for verifying all academic transcripts and degrees and disseminating application files to all programs designated by applicants in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide quality customer service. CASPA’s professional staff will maintain ongoing and responsive communications with programs and applicants, including training sessions and webinars for new participating programs each year.
- Ensure customer confidentiality and data integrity by maintaining a reliable and secure Internet service and program of quality assurance.
- Publish an annual report of aggregate applicant and matriculant data.
- Support the CASPA, WebAdMIT, Analytics by Liaison, and Unified Advisor Portal (UAP) platforms.
- Communicate only with applicants; CASPA personnel will not communicate with parents, spouses, friends, or other individuals in regard to an application.
CASPA Program Responsibilities
PA programs should uphold professional standards in their admissions processes to cultivate compassionate, competent healthcare providers while advancing both the profession’s ideals and their individual missions.
CASPA programs will:
- Maintain ongoing communications with applicants and correspond with candidates in a timely manner regarding their movement through the program’s admissions process. We also encourage programs to remind applicants to monitor their application status and complete their applications promptly.
- Maintain the confidentiality of applicant information and materials during all aspects of the application and interview process.
- Conduct a fair, reasonable, and timely admissions process. Programs should develop policies and procedures for updating applicants.
- Make all admissions decisions based on verified application information provided through CASPA.
- Notify applicants of acceptance in a timely manner and allow applicants at least two weeks to reply for acceptance.
- Consider setting a seat deposit at a reasonable amount so as not to financially burden the applicant, if requiring a deposit from selected applicants to hold a seat.
- Submit all applicant Final Action Data (Deferred, Denied, Declined Offer, Matriculated, Rescinded, Withdrawn) to 大香蕉视频 via the WebAdMIT admissions portal within 14 calendar days after a class matriculates.
- Abide by the Program Withdrawal and Loss of Accreditation and Participating Program Responsibilities outlined in the CASPA Policies and Procedures.
- Report any applicants who violate the CASPA Applicant Agreement.
