Applicants respond to a Life Experiences essay question in the Personal Information quadrant of the CASPA application. As a result of our annual review, this question has been refined for clarity and consistency, enhancing the applicant’s experience while preserving its original intent. As highlighted in the CASPA Configuration Best Practices webinar, this question will remain a required part of the application.

Life Experiences (required)

Explain how your life experiences could help advance the goal of having healthcare providers who can empathize with the patient communities they serve.

This question provides an excellent opportunity for applicants to describe impactful life experiences, particularly challenges or hardships that may not be readily highlighted elsewhere in the application. Experiences can be drawn from any point in an applicant’s life and do not necessarily have to be directly related to the field of medicine or healthcare.

A new question has been added to identify applicants who have received a Final Report following a :

• Have you previously been issued a Final Report of CASPA Investigation by ���㽶��Ƶ for a violation of the CASPA Applicant User Agreement and Release? (Yes/No)

Applicants who received a Final Report will have a note added to their Application in WebAdMIT, instructing the program to contact ���㽶��Ƶ at CASPAInvestigations@���㽶��Ƶonline.org for a copy of the report.

The following questions about legal sex, gender identity, and pronoun preference will remain in the CASPA application:

• What is your legal Sex? (required)
• What is your current Gender Identity? (optional)
• Please select the set of pronouns you want people to use to refer to you. (optional)

Applicants may choose to leave the optional questions blank. Our legal counsel has advised us that these questions are acceptable as long as they remain voluntary. We will continue to monitor these issues closely for any further updates.

As a reminder, WebAdMIT allows you to create Work Groups that restrict access to applicant data for designated User Groups. For example, you may limit a User Group’s access to Gender Identity information. These settings apply across various WebAdMIT features, including applicant panels, the PDF manager, and API configurations. For more information, please visit .

There has been an update to the URL domain for the CASPA application.

The current URL format caspa.liaisoncas.com has been updated to the following format: caspa.cas.myliaison.com.

We want to highlight that the old URL automatically redirects to the new URL, ensuring a smooth transition without any service disruption.

However, we ask that you begin using the new link whenever possible and ensure all CASPA-related URLs on your websites and documentation are updated to the new format by June 27, 2025.

This change is part of ongoing efforts to improve Liaison’s technology infrastructure. The benefits include:

• Enhanced system security (e.g., Multi-Factor Authentication, MFA)
• Future upgrades, such as Keycloak and social media login tools, will simplify account creation and introduce new single sign-on capabilities across Liaison platforms.

Please note that this update does not apply to CAS Public APIs, WebAdMIT URLs, Analytics, or the Common App for Transfer.

Howard University
Howard University is transitioning its student information system, which may take up to a year. During this time, Howard University cannot provide official transcripts. Students who graduated in 2017 or after will receive a “Provisional” transcript and should submit it to CASPA. For students who graduated before 2017, the university cannot provide a provisional transcript; CASPA will accept unofficial transcripts.

Community College of the Air Force
Transcript processing delays stem from new student information system issues requiring manual staff intervention. As a result, non-priority requests may take up to 90 days. However, CCAF remains fully operational, providing various education programs and pathways. For information, please visit .

Moving Forward
During these transitions, CASPA will accept unofficial transcripts via the Document Exceptions email at documentexceptions@liaisonedu.com. The Verification team will use these documents to verify students. However, re-verification will not occur once official transcripts become available. Programs may request official transcripts once processing resumes.
