JOB SUMMARY

The role of a PA faculty member is to coordinate and teach courses and lectures, participate in patient assessment and clinical skills workshops, advise/evaluate students, and contribute to the program's overall success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to PA student education and deeply committed to providing students with high-quality, impactful learning experiences.

Salary Range:  $53.85/hour - $58.65/hour (equivalent to salary of $67,200/annual - $73,200/annual)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates, teaches and evaluates the effectiveness of assigned courses/modules.

• Prepares lectures/presentations and student assessments for assigned courses/modules.

• Assures the availability of remedial learning activities and office hours

• Tracks and monitors progress within assigned courses/modules.

• Participates in training and evaluating students in physical exam workshops, laboratory, and clinical skills sessions.

• Serves as an Academic Advisor to students throughout the program.

• Fosters academic collaboration with other MBKU programs.

• Engages in faculty development or clinical practice activity.

• Serves on, Didactic, Student Progress, and Self-Assessment Committees.

• Other program duties assigned by the Program Director or Academic Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

• NCCPA-Certified Physician Assistant with a current California State license.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a physician assistant and/or other health professional degree preferred.

• Previous teaching or administrative experience preferred.
